Recent SPAM MESSAGES and how to block them!Recently our tagboards have been targeted by spammers. We fixed the bugs in the IP banning option. However there are ways to block unwanted spam messages.1. Use the PRFANITY FILTERS - it will only replace the bad words with the replacement word. It will not remove the message and it will display it.2. Use SPAM FILTERS - find the common words for the spam messages (most are adult oriented) add them to the spam filter. The SPAM filter will block messages from being displayed on the board however you can still view the messages in the post area and either edit or remove it. SPAM FILTER will block most of unwanted messages and it DOES WORK.3. Use AUTOLINK option in settings area - you have a 2 way of displaying links on your board. If you choose the option to block the links it will hide the URL and prevent the link from being displayed in the post.4. IP BANNING - ban user IPs. This option will block the messages from being posted to the board. If for some reason spammers get around and can add the message it will prevent the message from being displayed on the board. You can view the posts in the administration are and remove them.

For the last couple of days the server have been under spam attack which caused server overload. That is why the service have been slow and in some instance unresponsive.The problem is fixed now and new security modules have been installed to prevent future attacs.

We performed Server maintenance due to a lack of disk space for the databases. The databases were transfered to secondary large disk that will allow the service to grow. However during the transfer we run into unexpected problems. The resolution of the problem and the amount of data that was being transfered took a lot of time. Fortunately none of the data were lost.We thank you for the patience during last couple of days and we are sorry for the delay.

The new version of tagboard is on and fully functional. For existing users who have old version Please upgrade to a new one. Some functions may not work for older version. Please follow guidlines below:1. Update the path of the smilies, The link should contain http://2. Update your settings and skins3. Go to Code Generator to get the html code for your website4. Leave the size of the Name, URL and Message fields as [auto]. This will ensure that the fileds are adjusted automatically to a browser size.

We moved to a new server!Yesterday we moved to a new server, bigger and faster that can handle more traffic. All data have been moved sucessfully. If you see any problems or discrepancies please let us know.

Sorry for the interruption of the service. We are transfering to a new more powerful server. The transfer should be done sometime tomorrow.
